Jolie-Pitts Rent Long Island "Gold Coast" Estate

The Jolie-Pitts are moving to the gorgeous "Gold Coast" in the North Shore of Long Island. They will be renting out Sassafras; the $ 60 million dollar, 48-acre waterfront estate located in Long Island's Lloyd Neck. Brangelina & Co. are expected to reside in this Tudor-style mansion with two helipads and a private dock through mid-summer while Angelina films her new CIA spy movie "Salt".

Since they will be residing within minutes of our parent's houses in Huntington and being huge Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt fans ourselves, our curiosity caused As Good As its Guests to do a little research on the Sassafras Estate. Newsday.com said that "The main house has 22,000 square feet that includes eight bedrooms. There is also a six-bedroom guest house and an 11-bedroom staff house. (Need an au pair for the kiddie clan this summer, Brangelina? Call us!) Yearly taxes alone are an astounding $195,000." $195,000 in taxes? Apparently, the owner of the mansion and the Jolie-Pitts aren't feeling the effects of this recession either. Maybe we'll be lucky enough to bump into them at one of our favorite Huntington Village restaurants or at the grocery store (get real AGAIG, they have people who shop for them)... or maybe they will take Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and the twins for an outing at Caumsett State Park. That will certainly add some excitement to our jogs and photo adventures around the Caumsett grounds. We'll keep you posted if we, or any of our friends have a Brangelina sighting in Huntington and as always, keep those comments and tips coming!

XOXO

I need to move to Australia!

Sooo beautiful...
Click on the photo to see the full image.

Explanation: Sometimes the sky itself is the best show in town. On January 26, people from Perth, Australia gathered on a local beach to watch a sky light up with delights near and far. Nearby, fireworks exploded as part of Australia Day celebrations. On the far right, lightning from a thunderstorm flashed in the distance. Near the image center, though, seen through clouds, was the most unusual sight of all: Comet McNaught. The photogenic comet was so bright that it even remained visible though the din of Earthly flashes. Comet McNaught continues to move out from the Sun and dim, but should remain visible in southern skies with binoculars through the end of this month.

We are just not that into you

Here is a little note I wrote back in 2007, before books on break-ups were now movies....
Enjoy!!

The book of Black and White....right?

I recently had been thinking about relationships...how they work, the process, the games. Everyone proclaiming to hate the game and inevitability not be able to avoid it. Thing's changed from simple to hard in such a few amount of years.
When you were younger you wrote in a box :
I like you, do you like me?? Check Yes_No_Maybe_
and by lunchtime you were dating.
Now thing's have become so complicated that there is a book for every question, every method, and every kind of relationship out there. But how do these books pinpoint the answers to your relationship problems, if half the time the problem is that you can't address that there is a problem.

I feel like this age is the most complicated, it's filled with gray and murky situations. There is no such thing as casually dating without being called a slut, or hurting someones feelings. There are no more dinner and movies. And the waiting three days to call the person theory no longer applies because you have been friended on facebook by the time that person had drunkenly walked into their house.

How do you define if you are:
a)hooking up
b) dating casually
c) dating exclusively
or
e)the prospect of the above three choices.

I find myself and my friends in many similar situations where you are often unable to define what exactly your in, which is hard in a definition world. A creepy guy approaches you in a bar and asks to buy you a drink, while you are standing with a guy that you have been "casually dating" for 2 years, and the proper response is clearly "This is my brother".

No one ever wants to be hurt and the prospect of a new relationship can be scary, but for how long do you do gray. If he/she acts like your boyfriend/girlfriend and isn't hooking up with anyone then shouldn't that equal possible future?

Who are you Nick Maslow?

So... I came across another interesting character on facebook yesterday. I'm pretty good at finding these gems ( take JRL for example). I am obsessed with University of Miami's Nick Maslow.

He's a stud, has great hair, is insanely witty....and a GREAT entertainment reporter.
In his status update, he mentioned a contest he is in. It took us literally 2 minutes to watch his adorable video and vote...(we voted multiple times SHHH!!)

Status Update Nick Maslow: Please join my group and vote here to have MTV send me to THE OSCARS: http://www.mtvu.com/on-campus/contests-sweeps takes/oscars/nick-maslow-and-david-marcus/.10 hours ago
