"Matt Levine gives us the official word on the Hotel on Rivington rooftop: The first party will be Saturday, May 23, and after Memorial Day, the penthouse will likely open as a “fully functional lounge and event space” Wednesday through Sunday (daily parties are still being organized). As for his lobby restaurant LEVANTeast, opening in two to three weeks, a Sunday brunch is indeed being discussed. Levine isn’t yet ready to announce his chef (the menu is in the tastings stage), but tells us that his mixologist, Jamie Gordon of Absolut, is already training staff.
