SONY introduces SONY VAIO LIFESTYLE PC hosted by PAPER MAGAZINE

If you have noticed life sized mannequins that blink in the streets of New York City, it is part of Sony Vaio's new campaign. Sony Electronics recently sent fashion models onto Manhattan's streets for the launch of its new Vaio P Series notebooks.
The effort, aimed at “fashionista” men and women alike, was dubbed the company's first Fashion Week marketing campaign. It will last through February 14, aligning with New York's Fashion Week.“We wanted to create a concept that lives,” said Ken Byers, messaging manager of corporate marketing at Sony. “We want to reach both men and women. Men were early enthusiasts and picked up this product naturally. The purpose of this campaign is to go after fashionistas who are really interested in the beautiful design of the product.”At the events, the models blog, update Facebook profiles, and IM with consumers from an extra notebook on-site. Last night, February 11th, Sony, in partnership with Paper Magazine, clothed the models in dresses by up-and-coming designers vetted by the title, including Libertine and Katy Rodriguez. Paper assisted with the event for fashion and media influencers at the Sony Style flagship store. Guests included Heatherette's Richie Rich, designers ThreeAsFour, Editorial Director for Paper Mag Mickey Boardman, and E's Michael Musto.

However, all eyes were on the "mannequins" that moved in a robotic like form. Even while trying the new Vaio they held their statue-esq poses. The event provided a wine and white cosmopolitan open bar....and had, hands down, the best hors d'eourves I've ever had in my life!

We left early to attend the next event, and missed the gift bags....however, We'll find out from King Ralphy what we missed and maybe he'll share!

XOXO,
As good as its guests
