May move to wordpress

Should we stay or should we go?

Dear Readers,

I find myself in between a rock and a hard place.
You see, I started this blog when I first started living in NYC and just wanted to share things with friends. I wrote a few pieces here and there, and well... the readers were interested. I am always trying to figure out what is the best thing for this site, and for you... my reader.

I am debating between staying with blogger... or moving the site over to wordpress.
This is a daunting task, and I will probably lose all of the indexing I have built on google.

What do you guys think I should do?

Love, Jessi

Branding yourself or your business

Design helps us stand out: from the clothes we wear, to the homes we live in, to the business cards we use. Design tells a story about us and what we stand for. Having a dynamic website that is found online is key. However, once online marketing gets you the meeting - how can you impress your new client? Personally, I am a big fan of Moo Cards. They are similar to regular business cards, but are better — especially for creatives — because you can upload your own artwork and customize them. Plus, you can get multiple images per box so you’re not stuck choosing from all your artwork. You can also choose between landscape or portrait, and put contact info on the back. In addition to business cards (available in classic and an eco-friendly paper), MOO also has:
  • Mini-cards: these are the ones that I got. They are about half the size of a business card and they are adorable.
  • Postcards: full-color gloss postcards with a different photo or design on each one. You can also add text, so they can be used as invitations or promo cards.
  • Greeting cards: each with a different image, you can resell these or use them as regular cards, invitations or as promotional items. - Read more at Design Milk
THE NEXT BIG THING:

Printfinity, what's that?

As you become more familiar with MOO, you'll spot them using the word 'Printfinity' when they describe products. It's one of the things that makes MOO different, a unique touch to help customers stand out from the networking crowd. Printfinity is a conversation starter, a promotional tool, and the ideal way to showcase your design or photography.

My new favorite store- Brandy Melville

A few weeks ago, I took my little sister shopping in New York City.
We seriously had one of the best days ever.

While shopping, I came across my new favorite store.

Their clothes are beachy yet appropriate for New York City.

Have you been to Brandy Melville? If so, what did you get?

Look out for Rescue Lights

Insider tip for all our hipster readers...

New York City is filled with some of the most talented artists around the globe. Whether walking through the streets circling Union Square, or paying for a high price ticket at Madison Square Garden - Music is the heart beat of New York City.

That being said, it would come as a surprise that I find myself listening to a band coming from....

Tuscon, Arizona.

On December 29th - several of my girl friends and I found ourselves at their show at Pianos.

Pianos has always been known to house some of the best up and coming talent in NYC. Bands such as The Cold War Kids, Clap your hands say yeah, and Passion Pit ... have all called Pianos home.

At Pianos, Thursday night is known for their good looking crowd. Around 11pm, the line typically runs down the entire street.

We arrived around 8pm, just in time to catch Rescue Lights perform. The first song they performed was full of energy and quickly won over the crowd. Lead singer Corey Ferrugia jumped back and forth from piano to guitar, keeping the crowd on their toes.

One girl in the crowd said "Wow, they are really good... they just went from a ballad to rock song just like that. No big deal."

Rescue Lights has influences from bands such as:
One Republic, The Script, Augustana, The Fray, John Mayer, James Morrison, Maroon5, Jason Mraz, Coldplay, and John Legend.
However, their sound remains to be unique and captivating.

During the show, the band announced the release of their new album "One More Try." After the show, the band members came out for a fun night in the city. They shared with us their plans to move to New York in August and teach children music through their business called MyTown Music.

Fun night of dancing with lead singer Corey Ferrugia.

I highly suggest checking out their album and telling me what you think. You can hear parts of the entire album on their website.

I believe that you will enjoy their album so much that I am giving ONE DIGITAL COPY away to one of the readers*. Just tell me which song is your favorite and why.

*You can either leave a comment or email asgoodasitsguests@gmail.com
